The grand finals took place between Gaby and Viper. The series was exciting, to say the least, and the two players traded wins till they reached the fifth round. The Rogue mirror match saw the SC Bastia Esports player take down Viper to become the youngest Hearthstone Masters Champion. He also inches closer to the Grandmasters Season 2 with 22 points from his Orgrimmar victory.

Who is Gaby?

Gaby has been slowly but steadily climbing the ranks. At just 15-years-old he has already won his first Masters event. But the player is not a new name in the circuit and has slowly been climbing up the esports ladder. His talent is superseded only by his confidence in his talent and also the respect he shows for top-tier gameplay.

He started playing Hearthstone at eight years old but quickly rose to the top within two years. He rose to Rank 1 legend within a few years and has consistently hit the top rank several times since.

With the full support of his parents, Gaby started to play competitively three years ago despite being too young to compete in some events. He made a rare admission to me that he wasn’t “that good” three years ago, but he has used the time waiting to get into bigger events well, making sure he was good enough when the Masters Tour came around.

Gaby’s approach to tournament matches is the same as with regular ladder matches. The player was nodding his head to music on-stream during the Hearthstone Masters Tour Orgrimmar matches. The player has been progressively improving over the past couple of years. While he used to finish outside the top 10 till September last year, his results have improved dramatically in the last few months. He finished in the top four in the Masters Tour 2020 Madrid when he lost to eventual champion Xc of Invictus Gaming.
