Tron :
Producer Sean Bailey separate MTV News that the new movie is a “ stand - alone sequel ” and you do n’t have to have seen the original to take account it . But it takes the stance that the original picture show happened in 1982 , and since then there have been ontogeny with ENCOM and Kevin Flynn and all the other character . In the flick , Flynn disappeared in 1989 , and there are tons of theories about what happened to him . But no suggestion has ever been establish . Flynn ’s boy , Sam , grows up never knowing what bump to him .
Says Bailey , “ At the beginning of the movie , [ Sam is ] given a hint or a prompt and set out to investigate , which leads him into the Tron world . And things have really changed . ” You ’ll still see lightcycles and tank , but they ’ll be streamlined and amend , plus there are also new vehicles . And it ’s a “ dingy world ” with more intensity . It ’ll push the boundary of the PG evaluation . It ’ll be , like , PG-12 . [ MTV ]
