The official social account of Brawl Stars surprised the community with an unusual announcement. A new stream was coming, but it wasn’t promoted as a Brawl Talk. A mysterious P2W event was revealed for Brawl Stars!
Many players were somewhat concerned about what this P2W stands for. Sure, no game developer would talk so openly about P2W aspects coming to their game. Some hoped it could be a Brawl Stars stream about the next season.
Such intrigue made the P2W event announcement even more interesting!

What’s happening in the Brawl Stars P2W event?
The official announcement was short and informative. P2W in Brawl Stars stands for play-to-win. It’s a special event with endless free rewards. All you need to do is to play Brawl Stars, reach specific milestones, and claim your prizes: which are mainly lots of free Starr Drops.
The event continues for 10 days, up to April 24. Each two days, the game invites players for special mini events, like double XP and daily Starr Drops.
How to unlock P2W rewards
For this event, you should accumulate takedowns in any Brawl Stars game mode. Play the game and participate in this community hunt for prizes.
The milestones during the P2W event are not individual. As a community, we should all work together. Each milestone is 1 billion takedowns accumulated by all Brawl Stars players. Something similar happened during theDead Game event.
The rewards
For the first billion of takedowns, everyone in the game receives 5 Starr Drops for free. Then, the more you play, the better the rewards become. All the prizes are shown in the image below.
The ultimate prize is the Ultra Trophy Box — with the best drops possible. Usually, you can get it from theupdated Brawl Stars Trophy System.

P2W confusion
The Brawl Stars P2W video starts with a meeting in the game’s office. The boss, who is definitely not the Brawl Stars CEO, demanded more money from the game. The team offered a P2W event, but they did not clarify that it’s not pay-to-win.
Not only was the boss confused, but the community also got filled with many speculations. The first thought about P2W being about pay-to-win just couldn’t be correct! Even if a mobile game has these mechanics, they are never openly announced. Doing a special event around them sounds weird.
Knowing the style of Brawl Stars, people assumed that P2W is something tricky and exciting. This could be a theme of the next Brawl Pass — likeDark Sandsin March and Super Brawl in April.
