TheFBI: Most Wantedseries finale certainly worked as a great sendoff for each of the characters, but 1 is bound to return to the franchise. The team will continue to work together with Barnes (Roxy Sternberg) as the leader, with Remy (Dylan McDermott) retiring. While thenewFBIspinoff,CIA, won’t include any of the members of the Fugitive Task Force, there is hope that one of them could return to the flagshipFBIfranchise series.

Despite its lack of connections in later years, all three shows in the FBI universe are tied to each other.FBI: Internationalwas set in Europe, so crossovers were far more difficult, but the New York office and the Fugitive Task Force have teamed up before because both were headquartered in the Big Apple. Because of this, one character fromFBI: Most Wantedcan still return after the show ended.

FBI: Most Wanted Finale Is A Great Send-Off For The Fugitive Task Force

The FBI: Most Wanted Season 6 Finale Worked As A Series Ender

WhenCBS canceledFBI: Most Wanted, there was enough time for the writers to craft an ending. Not a lot of work was needed to change things, either, as theFBI: Most Wantedseason 6 finalewas always going to see Remy retire. However, as a series-ender, it brought closure to his character, and it allowed for the ending that many of us wanted, such as with Barnes taking over the Fugitive Task Force, creating asatisfying ending toFBI: Most Wanted.

Nobody came after the team in an attempt to break it apart, which is a common theme in many shows as they come to an end. Instead, Barnes, Hana (Keisha Castle-Hughes), Ray (Edwin Hodge), and Nina will all continue to work together, offering hope that there is justice in the world.

Why Nina Is The Only Most Wanted Character Who Is Likely Appearing Again In The FBI Franchise

Nina Already Has A Personal Connection In The FBI Universe

As much as we would love to see the Fugitive Task Force return in the flagshipFBIseries, there is only one character who could realistically return on a regular basis.Nina (Shantel VanSanten) already has a direct connection to theFBIteam, as she is living with Scola (John Boyd). The pair has a child together, and they are clearly happy as a couple, continually supporting each other on a personal as well as professional level.

Scola will likely need some personal support inFBIseason 8, as there are questions about whether Isobel will survive after the cliffhanger ending ofFBIseason 7.

This opens the door forNina to be around in personal storylines for Scola inFBIseason 8, especially when we get to see inside their home. We have also seen Nina appear in the office in the past, which could continue to happen as she has a previous working relationship with some of the other characters. Scola will likely need some personal support inFBIseason 8, as there are questions about whether Isobel will survive after the cliffhanger ending ofFBIseason 7.

Can Nina Officially Join The Main FBI Show After Most Wanted’s Ending?

Nina Likely Won’t Rejoin The New York Field Office

Of course, there is whether Nina could come back to the New York Field Office full-time. She was part of the team when Maggie (Missy Peregrym) was on medical leave, but then she left as soon as Maggie returned to the team. After initially taking a safer job due to being pregnant, Nina then went on to join the Fugitive Task Force, and it looks like she is happy there in that role.

Nina and Scola have a rule whereonly one of them can be on a dangerous case at once, because they have a child that they need to return to. If both of their lives are at risk at the same time, they run the risk of leaving their son an orphan, so this means it’s unlikely that Nina would ever come back to the mainDick Wolf universe series. Instead, the wayFBI: Most Wantedended makes it possible to have guest appearances, which also allows us to learn how the Fugitive Task Force is doing.
