Alex Trebek being mean is the only good part of Jeopardy this side of comedian and Conan cohort Andy Richter kicking CNN “journalist” Wolf Blitzer’s ass up and down the court. Blitzer would finish atnegative $4,800; he had to have his debt erased and be gifted $1,000 to play in the Final Jeopardy round.
More recently, Trebek explains that he’s never heard of “nerdcore hip-hop” music and that it “doesn’t sound like fun.” The contestant, probably a very nice person, explains, “It’s people that identify as nerdy rapping about the things they love: video games, science fiction, [and] meeting romantic partners.”
If you love any of those things, Alex Trebek has a word for you.
