ALGS Split 1 Playoffs: Groups
The 40 teams are split into four groups. Each group will play each other in one six-game series, with the overall standings determining who passes into the winners and losers brackets. Groups were snake seeded based on their regional pro league finishes.
Prize money
Teams are competing for a share of $1,000,000. However, only the top 20 teams will earn prize money. Anyone eliminated before the finals on Sunday will return home without any financial reward for their efforts in London.
This makes it more important than ever for teams to qualify for the finals. Smaller regions like South America lack third-party tournaments, putting extra emphasis on the money ALGS can yield for those teams to afford things like boot camps before events.

Following the group stage, every team will be assigned a starting position in the double-elimination bracket stage based on their group stage performance. The bracket stage kicks off at1000 GMTonSaturday, February 4.
