Here is the starting information forBattlefield 1’s upcoming PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One open beta, for both EA Insiders and the rest.
Battlefield 1has quickly become one of the most anticipated releases of 2016, due largely toits outstanding debut at E3 2016. But even as the anticipation builds there is still two months until the game’s October 21st launch on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. However, those who want to get in on the action early should know that theBattlefield 1open beta starts very, very soon.
Starting times for each stage of the beta’s launch are not yet revealed. Odds are the servers will go live early in the morning, but there’s always the possibility that they go live at midnight.BattlefieldInsiders are still waiting for their early access download keys, so perhaps information on beta starting times will be provided then.

Other details regarding the start of the beta are unfortunately in short supply. What we do know is that players will be able to preload theBattlefield 1beta on any supported platform, there are no official PC specifications requirements yet, and the official size of the beta’s download is as yet not confirmed. As far as that last detail is concerned, there is a rumor that theXbox One beta may be 6.2 GBand PC should be expected to be much larger. Obviously all this information will be logicallyavailable as soon as the beta is out, so it’s curious that it’s not available so close to the beta’s launch.
The actual content of theBattlefield 1open beta is much more readily available. DICE published an articlediscussing what maps, modes and contentwill be included in the beta some time ago. The 64-player mode Conquest focuses on objective control. The 24-player mode Rush lets teams take either the role of attacker or defender across a sprawling map. They’ll each be played on theBattlefield 1map, Sinai Desert.
Battlefield 1will launch on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 21. The game’s open beta goes live for everybody on August 31, or August 30 for those who get a key throughBattlefieldInsiders. Stay tuned for more information over the coming weeks.
