Summary

Players have a lot of flexibility in how they build Sung Jinwoo inSolo Leveling: Arise. Each time he levels up, players will get to choose how his skill points are assigned to make him fit the build they see as best.

Sung Jinwoo also has access to many different skills and can only have two equipped at a time with a third slot being for an ultimate ability. Upgrading skills takes Gold and [Player] Skill Scrolls so it’s best to only upgrade the best skills and not spread your resources out aimlessly between skills that won’t later be used.

The Vertical Arts Skill In The Menu

7Vertical Arts

A Mobile AOE Attack

Even with high health, players will often be in situations where they need to back off and get some breathing room in a tense situation. Dodging does have a limit and sometimes may not be an option, and that’s where Vertical Arts comes in.

This skill isgreat for clearing gatesas the AOE covers a decent area and the damage output can kill most basic enemies in a single hit. This skill also has a low cooldown and can be used often to clear out multiple groups of enemies with minimal effort.

The Crushing Blow Skill In The Menu

6Crushing Blow

Great Skill For Early Break Damage

Crushing Blow is thebest early-game skill inSolo Leveling: Arisein terms of Break damage and is very useful in thefight against Igris. This skill is mostly a single-target attack but has the potential of hitting other enemies if they are bunched closely together.

Breaking an enemy leaves them immobile for a short time and will cause them to take more damage. For the first 20 levels or so, this skill is a necessity for those whose play style revolves heavily around Breaking their opponent to maximize damage.

The Death’s Dance Skill In The Menu

5Death’s Dance

AOE Damage With A Follow-Up Break Attack

Death’s Dance is another AOE ability that focuses more on offense as it moves Sung Jinwoo toward his opponent. This skill also has a second part that deals heavy Break damage against enemies. These two parts make this skill ideal for dealing with any group of enemies or boss.

This skill’s Break damage is ideal against a boss, but it may suffer if used at the wrong time. Both phases of this skill lead to an overall long animation that can be dodged by a nimble opponent. This skill also does have a higher-than-usual mana cost, but it is overall worth it for the damage output.

The Double Slash Skill In The Menu

4Double Slash

Maximize Damage By Using Multiple Skills At Once

Double Slash does a lot of the same things that Death’s Dance does in its base form. The general AOE of this skill is useful when dealing with groups of weaker enemies, but its overall potential does fall behind against larger enemies or bosses.

What really helps this skill stand out is the Full Moon Wheel Rune. When equipped, this skill will still be an AOE attack but will now stay in place and continue to damage enemies on its own without Sung being stuck in an animation. This allows for great combo options with another skill as it can capitalize on damage output after Breaking an enemy.

The Shadow Step Skill In The Menu

3Shadow Step

Follow Up Extreme Evasions With A Powerful Skill

Shadow Step isn’t an active skill like the other options on this list and is instead a QTE Skill that is usable after getting an Extreme Evasion. This skill does still have a cooldown and won’t be available if an Extreme Evasion is landed during that time.

Using this ability not only teleports Sung Jinwoo to the enemy’s back but also lowers their armor and leaves them moving very slowly for the next three seconds. The slowdown on a boss can be incredibly helpful and set Sung up to deal a lot of damage safely before dodging away once the enemy is back up to speed. This QTE skill will be used for the rest of the game and will be triggered much more often than others.

The Darkness: Obliterate Skill In The Menu

2Darkness: Obliterate

Capitalize On Your Highest Damage Skill

Darkness: Obliterate is Sung Jinwoo’s first ultimate skill. While it’s not the only option, it will be for the first many levels of the game. Ultimate Skills deal incredible amounts of damage and upgrading them further will only increase that damage output.

This skill is worth leveling up early out of convenience as it is the only option, so you might as well make the most out of it. While players won’t want to invest too many[Player] Skill Scrollsin this, it’s worth reaching Level 3 or 4 to help with some of the more difficult battles on the path to unlocking the next ultimate.

The Multistrike Skill In The Menu

1MultiStrike

Incredible Damage Over A Short Time

Multistrike acts exactly as it sounds in that Sung punches the enemy at an incredible speed for high damage in a short time. While this will have Sung stuck in the animation, the damage and Break damage make this a worthwhile attack even when receiving damage.

Various Runes on this skill will change the damage type, but the basics of this skill will stay the same. This skill is incredible when used on a Broken enemy as the damage output is already one of thehighest available to any basic skill.
