Most of theBig Brother27 houseguests have survived their first week of competition, and while it’s been interesting to watch the drama unfold,one of the houseguests I thought I’d be rooting for pre-season has massively flopped. Throughout the first days ofBig Brother27, viewers have watched as the new cast got to know each other and started building alliances.
WithBig Brotherwinner Rachel Reilly returningto the game for another shot at the $750,000 prize, the houseguests were rattled from the very beginning of the season. As twists and turns have unfolded in surprising new ways like the BB Accomplice, who was revealed to be Amy Bingham, entering the game andthe Mastermind creating panic for the houseguests, some have struggled.
While there’s very little information to go off of prior to the show getting started, some pre-season interviews and questionnaires are typically released, allowing fans to choose who they think they’ll enjoy watching prior to the season. Though I made my picks whenBig Brother27’s castdropped,the choices I made prior to watching the houseguests aren’t holding up.
Big Brother 27’s Houseguests Are A Mixed Bag
There Are Some Supreme Gamers In The Cast
WhileBig Brother27’s houseguests have some insanely talented strategists in the mix, they’re a mixed bag in terms of likability. WithRachel coming into the mix and shaking things up, there have been some major shifts in power within just one week of competition. Even as the cast has been getting to know one another, it’s been clear they’re not all happy together.
With competitive threats like Zach Cornell andnow-evicted houseguest Zae Friedrichon one side of the house,strategists like Morgan Pope have been laying low and socializing, ensuring the social game is laying groundwork for the season. There are a decent number of multi-faceted players in the game, but some are more interesting to watch than others after a week.
The houseguests I was looking forward to watching, including Morgan, Mickey Lee, and Ava Pearl, have shifted in the game now that Rachel’s invaded the house, butone player I was hopeful about has become someone I’m looking forward to see exit theBBhouse.Ashley Hollis, who was hopefulabout her social strategy, isn’t pulling her weight in the house.

She’s Not Honoring Her Alliances
Although I was hoping Ashley, who’s a long-timefriend ofBBalum Hannah Chaddhaand recently graduated law school, would be able to navigate the tricky logistics of theBBhouse with ease this summer. Unfortunately, throughout the first week of gameplay, Ashley has appeared to be more lost than most, and has been strategically erratic.Consistently considering voting against her alliance, Ashley’s choices have bugged me.
WhileAshleyhas been getting an unnecessary amount of attention for taking a shower in the HOH room, which sparked house conversations and paranoia, my issues with her have nothing to do with her hygiene routine. Instead,watching her float between alliances and pretend to commit to one side or the otherwhile throwing people under the bus has simply tested my patience.
I Thought I’d Enjoy Ashley In The BB 27 House
She’s Not Leaving Me Calm Or Interesting
Typically, I’m a fan of the lawyerswho come into theBig Brotherhouseto try to move logically through the game, butAshley’s been rubbing me the wrong way. Though my pre-season picks are sometimes shaky, I was incredibly hopeful that Ashley would be aBBstar. Instead, she’s been flopping for me asBig Brother27 has continued.
