The best for last?

Here it is, the finale. Now we just have to, you know, actually do E3. But Nintendo’s Spotlight signals the end of all the preliminary festivities. In mere hours, we’ll be running from appointment to appointment across the slightly-more-packed show floor.

What’s Nintendo going to accomplish in its half-hour presentation? It has games to talk about (Splatoon 2,Xenoblade Chronicles 2,Fire Emblem Warriors), but none of them are bigger thanSuper Mario Odyssey. Expect Mario’s New Donk City escapades to get a big chunk of the attention. But,  a SNES Classic announcement would steal the show.

Afterward, there will be a Nintendo Treehouse to break down some of what we just saw. Actually, Nintendo’s running those kind of adjacent to E3, with one taking place every morning of the convention.

But, for now, we’re just concerned with the mostly (if not entirely) pre-recorded Spotlight. Let’s find out how the Switch is shaping up for the holiday season, approximately one year from its release. Did E3 save the best for last? Weigh in down in the comments section.
