Can you believe we’re coming up to three years sinceCyberpunk 2077released? What a rollercoaster it’s been for CD Projekt Red’s non-Witchergame, and soon you’ll be able to own a special Ultimate Edition version of the dystopian RPG.
In a recent post onCDPR’s website, the developer has said it will be launching the Ultimate Edition ofCyberpunk 2077for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC. It’s releasing digitally and as a physical purchase, both of which will be available from December 5.

Big news… Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition arrives on December 5th in digital AND physical form for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC!Experience the original#Cyberpunk2077story as well as a new spy-thriller adventure in the#PhantomLibertyexpansion in one package. 🔥pic.twitter.com/IOBPCdTXFU
As for what’s in it, well, you’ll get the OG game (natch), along with the free 2.0 update that overhauled a lot of stuff, and the one and only DLC,Phantom Liberty. It’s basically an all-in-one package, if that’s what you’re after in time for Christmas.

We can forgive, but can we forget?
As time goes on, it becomes easier to talk aboutCyberpunkwithout having to remind ourselves of the bad old days. However, I’d wager it’s a sting that’s still felt by many, especially for those of us who tried to play it on console when it released.
Things are, thankfully, much different now. The aforementioned 2.0 update was just one of the ways CD Projekt Red made some key changes to the game, improving things along the way. Before that was the rather substantialpatch 1.5that rolled out in February 2022.

In short: we’ve finally arrived. However, it’s at a time when the studio is looking to move onto new things. While we’re getting aCyberpunkfollow-up and a newWitchersaga, CDPR has also said that2077is getting no more major updates.
