A new dungeon awaits Fireteams in Destiny 2 as the Sundered Doctrine launches, taking us back to Savathûn’s Throne World.
On Feb. 4, Destiny 2 Heresy was released, bringing in new story content, new activities, and a plethora of new rewards for players. The first act of Heresy saw some huge changes to the game, with Exotics being reworked and buffed.
However, more importantly, the latest episode in the Destiny 2 saga came with the confirmation of a new dungeon – the Sundered Doctrine. This releases on Feb. 7, and with it would come a World First race where a single Fireteam will claim victory.
Who won the Worlds First race for Sundered Doctrine?
After approx. five hours, our Sundered Doctrine World First race was over with Biggz, Mariomonkey, and luigistyle emerging victorious over the final boss and dungeon.
The race is the longest for a dungeon in Destiny 2 history, and the winners celebrated as expected on social media after clearing. “TODAY WAS THE F*****G DAY,” Biggz said onX/Twitteronce Bungie confirmed them as champions.
Their completion also opened up the normal mode for the dungeon.

When does the Sundered Doctrine dungeon open?
Feb. 7 will see the new dungeon open at 9 a.m PT or 12 p.m. ET.
As the dungeon opens, the first 48 hours will see players begin their race to become the first Fireteam to complete the dungeon. However, for the race, players will need to take on the dungeon in the Contest Mode – which increases the difficulty tenfold.
Players need only be a higher Power Level than 1,995 and have both The Final Shape Dungeon Key and The Drowning Labyrinth quest before they can enter. With that said, this will be no easy feat considering the difficulty, with many items, powers, and perks disabled for the dungeon.

What are the rewards for completing the dungeon?
Players who manage to complete the Sundered Doctrine dungeon in the next 48 hours will find themselves with a host of rewards. This includes a brand-new Exotic Weapon – Finality’s Auger, a Linear Fusion Rifle.
Furthermore, new armor sets for each class are available, as well as a ton of new weapons. Players who complete the dungeon in the 48 hours will receive their own rewards including a special emblem and the aforementioned Exotic weapon.
For the champions and World’s First, they’ll pick up a physical trophy to commemorate their status as World First!
Twitch rewards for the rest of us
While many of us may not be willing to attempt the gauntlet of the Sundered Doctrine Contest Mode dungeon world first event, there will be Twitch rewards on offer. Viewers can sit back and relax with the DungeonZone streams over onTwitch,YouTube, orTikTok, where they can earn a few drops.
The action from the Destiny 2 Sundered Doctrine World First race is already underway, and it will be amazing to witness these Fireteams take on everything that comes their way in the new dungeon.
