HD Radioisn’t exactly Mr. Popular , but that can be attributed to the fact that people do n’t want to exchange their car ( where most receiving set listening takes place ) wireless . Directed Electronics ’ DMHD-1000 turns most manufactory or aftermarket radios into HD radio set . One catch : it uses an FM modulator . Since part of HD Radio ’s draw is the high-pitched caliber digital signal , using the DMHD-1000 eliminates that benefit . You still receive all the HD Radio station ( we ’ve got about 10 here in New York ) but without the signal clarity that HD Radio ordinarily delivers .
So now you have a decisiveness to make : cut down $ 200 on a twist that will deliver only part of the HD Radio “ experience , ” remain content with regular radio , or use whateveryone else usesin the twelvemonth 2007 .

UPDATE : The Corporate Communications Manager just styled on me for slight this wireless . True , you could tie the DMHD-1000 using an FM modulator ( which do n’t really have a sterling track record , at least not in large city ) , but I neglected to bring up that you could also plug in it using a standard AUX port . Obviously , this will leave to a better experience all around . However , you ’re less likely to find an AUX porthole in producer ’s radios than in aftermarket radios . So , new choice : use the less than optimal FM sender on your AUX - less radio or remove said manufacturer radio to instal one with an AUX port wine . At that point , you might as well set up a consecrated HD Radio radio in your splasher . I hope the communicating man will have a Facebook loge of chocolates as an excuse .
