The Nintendo DS is looking to be the system to have for fans of RPG upgrade/remakes. We already have the brilliantly retooledFinal Fantasy III, and we know thatFinal Fantasy IVis getting a similar treatment, but now it looks like the other major franchise from Square Enix is getting some port action.

Nex first told usabout the possiblity of new versions of olderDragon Questclassics. It looks like he was right, and we can expect to seeDragon Quest IV(originally released on Famicom),V, andVI(both originally on Super Famicom) getting the DS miniaturization treatment. Deeko happened uponJeuxFrance’s scansfrom Japanese publicationShonen Jumpshowing screenshots and information from the titles in development. Fans of portable classic roleplaying should be very pleased.
