Teams Echo and Liquid’s journey to the top involved many victories along the way.
Teams Echo and Liquid are the World of Warcraft Arena World Championship (WoW AWC) champions! They not only took home the WoW AWC 2023 crown, but also the bulk of the tournament’s $300,000 USD prize pool!
Echo and Liquid win WoW AWC Dragonflight Season 2 Grand Finals
Throughout WoW Dragonflight Season 2, top teams competed in WoW AWC Cups on a weekly basis. This involved three-versus-three Arena duels for players in North America and Europe. The ultimate goal was to get enough points to advance to the WoW AWC Dragonflight Season 2 Grand Finals or the AWC Gauntlet.
Leading up to these victories, Echo won every WoW AWC Cup in their region. Meanwhile Liquid and the Golden Guardians earned their spots as well.

The WoW AWC Gauntlet happened after these tournaments, allowing the top three teams from each region to advance to the WoW AWC 2023 Grand Finals.

After Echo took home the gold medal for the European region, player Raiku shared his thoughts on winning again. Echo won Season 1 WoW AWC Grand Finals 2023 alongside Luminosity earlier this year.
On social media, Raiku wrote about his experience of playing his Mage and how he enjoyed the chance to play with all three specs. He also extended his sportsmanship to the participating teams while expressing gratitude to the folks behind the WoW AWC and Echo.
Liquid player Cdew also celebrated his team’s victory. In several social media posts, he expressed how he felt on top of the world and thanked his incredible teammates.
WoW AWC 2023 Season 2 ended, but the WoW esports action doesn’t stop there. This is because the 2023 WoW Mythic Dungeon International: The Great Push (WoW MDI TGP 2023) Global Finals are kicking off this weekend starting Aug. 18!
