Ruins are a common location in the base game ofElden Ring,where players can acquire a few items and possibly find a chest with a rare item. However, Ruins in the DLC are slightly different, as they are larger in scale and can have multiple mini-bosses roaming nearby that players must defeat to acquire all the loot.
This guide includes a step-by-step walkthrough on how to reach theScorched RuinsinShadow of the Erdtree— and what players can find there.
The Ruins are optional, as are the items found inside them. Completing or ignoring these Ruins does not affect the story in any way.
How To Get To Scorched Ruins In Shadow Of The Erdtree
After interacting with the Withered Arm inMohgwyn Palace, you will be transported to the Realm of Shadow. Proceed out of the small cave to enter Gravesite Plain, the first of many areas in the DLC. There should be a Grace right in front of you to interact with. From theGravesite Plain Site of Grace, head northeast on your Torrent, and you will soon come across the Scorched Ruins with a Site of Grace nearby to the north.
All Items Found Within Scorched Ruins
From the Scorched Ruins Site of Grace,summon your mount, Torrent, and head south, hugging the wall on the right. As soon as the building on your right ends, turn west, approaching a small broken staircase with multiple Shadow enemies about. Loot the corpse atop the small staircase to acquire theGreater Potentate’s Cookbook [1].
Drop down to the bottom floor toward the southwest, and you will find more enemies and a corpse with theHefty Cracked Potwaiting for you to pick up. Head west, and you will see abuilding covered in cloththat you can jump up to with your Spectral Steed. Make your way north, jump into the broken building, and climb the stairs. Go through the doorway and head right to approach a bridge of sorts. You must cross over to the other side and look to the left to spot a gate you can open. Behind the door is a chest containing theBlade of MercyTalisman.
