Read the full quote below:

ScreenRant: Now you’ve inched this show forward as we move throughout the decades. Do you know what time period you want the show series to end in?
Ben Nedivi: I think when we started the show, we had an idea, like a roadmap, of like, “Okay, where do we want to take this? Where does it end?” And we’re still on that roadmap, I would say. Although things change as you go from season to season, you want to surprise yourself. But I think we still know. I think the hope was always to catch up to the present, and I think the fact that we’re at a point now already in 2010s, getting close to that is pretty unbelievable, to have that opportunity in television to fulfill the vision you had in the beginning. So, we don’t want to cross our fingers that we can get there, but I think that’s still the hope.

What For All Mankind’s Long-Term Plan Means
Apple TV+’s Sci-Fi Show Is Nearing Its End
Don’t stress,For All Mankindwill still likely have at least two more full seasons beyond this year’s season 5, and there’s always room for the roadmap to expand beyondtheir current plans. That said, the series began in 1969, and the goal is to reach the current day with the show’s “what if” historical premise.
WithFor All Mankindseason 5 venturing into the 2010s, the show is progressing full-steam ahead with its timeline to the point where the cast is practically unrecognizable. Edi Gathegi’s Dev Ayesa continues to play an exciting leading role asthe show has transitioned away from alternate history and evolved into science fiction.
At this rate, season 6 could depict the fully realized version ofFor All Mankind’slong-planned 2020s, hypothesizing what the real world might look likehad the space race never ended. As Nedivi says, it’s spectacular that they’ve had the opportunity to bring their ambitious story arc to life.
With aFor All Mankindspinoff already in the works, itseems all but guaranteed that the original series will have at least one or two more seasons. For All Mankind’s creatorshave already sharedthat they have plans for seasons 6 and 7, and Apple TV+ is likely to support them.
For All Mankind’sspinoff,Star City,is currently in development and hasn’t established a release date yet.
Our Take On For All Mankind’s Roadmap
For All Mankind Is One Of Contemporary Television’s Most Impressive Feats
I discovered this series around season 2, and have always been shocked that it hasn’t attracted a wider audience pool. That said, Apple TV+ has deemed it successful enough to put faith in this many seasons as well as a spinoff, even thoughFor All Mankindlikely isn’t cheap to create.
Ben Nedivi is entirely correct that it’s unbelievable they’ve been able to fulfill this vision, but I’m thrilled that they’re able to. This series is continuously impressive, and I can’t wait to see whatFor All Mankindseason 5 brings to the table.
