Anticipation forFortnite’s season 6 is building, and players may have discovered a new teaser for it. While various theories have appeared concerning the mysterious cube, including (once again) thedestruction of Tilted Towers, this latest connection seems to be undeniable. Items such as shields have begun to appear out of thin air at Loot Lake, making a noise similar to that of the Mystery Cube.

With Loot Lake also being a strong contender for whatever the Cube is doing, these sudden changes make sense. However, that’s not the only strange thing happening. Reportedly, someFortniteplayers have been able to loot ammo crates multiple times, and while this could be due to a bug, it’s more likely related to the mystery items of Loot Lake and the Cube.

The fact that these items have their own animation and appear out of nowhere is very reminiscent of mascots being stolen by rifts in the build-up to Season 5. With the cube creating anti-gravity wells, items appearing out of thin air, and boxes being looted multiple times, it appears the rules of the battle island are a-changing. Check out the items appearing out of thin air below (you may have to click through to Reddit):

Of course, until something more official happens, we won’t know what these changes and mysteries mean. SinceFortnitehas entered Week 9 of Season 5, however, something is likely to happen soon. Until then, players can work on wrapping up theSeason 5 Week 9 challengesand obtaining that coveted Tier 100 Ragnarok skin (if not done so already).

One of this week’s challenges involves visiting 7 Stone Head locations, and we’ve compiled aguide for that here. While it is a simple challenge, it can take some time, but of course, the players' vigilance is rewarded with a Battle Pass tier. Tell us, Ranters, what do you think of these mysterious occurrences across the battle island?

Fortniteis available now in early access for Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
