According to reports, Fortnite’s annual winter extravaganza will happen in the next few days. Many leakers in the scene have confirmed the first update of Chapter 6 Season 1 goes live on Tuesday, Dec. 10.

An updated report via HYPEX has indicated the Winterfest 2024 event will begin on Friday, Dec. 20, at roughly 3 p.m. ET. This will follow the launch of update v33.11, which went live on Wednesday, Dec. 18.

What to expect during Fortnite’s holiday event
Apart from the name “Wintervestigation” being attached to Fortnite Winterfest 2024, details about the event are limited. However, HYPEX confirmed in a post that ice skates would be coming to the game. This would be a first for the game, which is surprising, but seeing this version of mobility in Fortnite will be interesting.
HYPEX’s latest report indicates that players can unlock free skins and other cosmetics when the event begins on Dec. 18. One such skin could be a holiday-themed Guff skin, and there very well could be a snowy update to the Chapter 6 map.
