FURIA are through to the Esports World Cup playoffs following a victory against The MongolZ on the Ressurection Stage on Thursday, July 18.

The Brazilian team led by the two-time CS:GO Major champion Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo weren’t exactly favorites heading to the decisive best-of-one series against The MongolZ, as the Mongolian team have been playing way better over the past few months.

FURIA, however, put out a strong performance on Nuke off the back of an impressive individual showing from Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato, and ran away with a 13-9 victory to advance to the playoffs.

Before beating The MongolZ, the Brazilians eliminated FlyQuest and Sashi from the event earlier in the day. They found themselves in the Ressurection Stage after losing to Natus Vincere on the debut yesterday, July 17.
