The shot meter has undergone a big change inNBA 2K25, but you can choose between different options.

It’s been a long debate about whether you should use the meter or not. This year, the familiar meter from the older NBA 2K games has been removed. Instead, you get three options that are distinctly different from the older shapes. By default, you get the upward-moving arrow, but it’s not my favorite, and it might not be yours as well. Thankfully, changing the appearance of the shot meter is extremely easy.

No matter which game mode you play, the shot meter can be changed in all of them.

That’s all you need to know about how to change the jump shot meter inNBA 2K25. While it’s a good guide for beginners, you will want to turn it off eventually. When themeter is turned off, you’ll get a bonus success rate on your green-timed throws, increasing their chances of going inside the basket. It could take you some time to get used to it, but the switch is definitely worth the effort.
