The Dr. Glimmerfin quest is now available inFischas part of the Golden Tides update, and you’re able to complete it quite easily by finding four Algae.
While the job sounds easy to complete, you’ll have to go to the correct location for starters. Then, you’ll have to get your equipment setup right to improve your chances of getting the item. Once you get these things added to your inventory, you’ll be able to get some amazing rewards.
All Algae Sample locations in Fisch (Dr. Glimmerfin quest)
For starters, go to the scientist located at Moosewood. Once you start the quest, you’ll have to collect four Algae samples. These samples can be found in the Algae Pools, which spawn randomly. You’ll find a pointer indicating them when one has spawned for you to go and find your samples.
There are four types of pools based on where they spawn. you’re able to be close to these regions to increase your chances of finding them.
Once you find an Algae pool, just fish in it till you get the sample. If you want to complete the task easily, you could try your luck in a private server, as many players have reported missing out on them in public servers. Thankfully, it’s pretty easy to catch Algae, and you don’t really need any advanced setup (having better equipment and double server luck will be helpful).
How to finish the Dr. Glimmerfin quest in Fisch
Once you’ve found all four samples, head back to Moosewood and talk with Dr. Glimmerfin. He will then hand you his exclusive boat and the new Firework Rod. That’s pretty much all you need to do to complete this quest. There are not too many difficulties associated with it, but it can be a frustrating experience in crowded public servers.
