PEAKhas two different rope types that’ll help you scale mountains in various ways. If one of your teammates is lagging behind, you can drop down the regular rope, allowing them to climb up easier and avoid falling into fog.

Anti-Rope is the exact opposite. Both its spool and cannon variants are rare but powerful, letting you climb upwards while expending less stamina. However, they can be tricky to use if you’re unfamiliar with them. Let’s explore how to find Anti-Rope and its cannons inPEAK.

Where to find an Anti-Rope Cannon in PEAK

Anti-Rope and Anti-Rope Cannons are Mystical items that spawn exclusively in Ancient Statues and luggage bags. Each time you open an Ancient luggage bag or statue, there’s a chance you’ll find one of these two ropes or another Mystical item.

Your first option is opening any Explorer or Ancient luggage bags that spawn during yourPEAKrun. Explorer luggage bags are relatively rare, appearing as bright orange containers around each map and at a level’s peak. They won’t always spawn a Mystical item, but you can find one if you’re lucky. Ancient luggage bags, on the other hand, guarantee a mystical item spawn.

You can also climb to the top of a mountain and destroy the peak’s Ancient Statue. If you’re doing a solo run, this’ll always give you a Mystical item. In a group, you’ll only get one if all of your teammates are alive. If someone died partway through, interacting with this statue revives them instead.

Unfortunately for players, this won’t guarantee that you’ll find the Anti-Rope Cannon right away. Instead, you’ll get a random Mystical item, which can range anywhere between a Bugle of Friendship to a Cursed Skull. Here’s a list of Mystical items that can spawn in Ancient luggage bags or at the Ancient Statue:

If you don’t find Anti-Rope or the Anti-Rope Cannon right away, open more statues and luggage bags until they appear. Considering their rarity, it might take a few runs to find them.

How to use Anti-Rope Cannon in PEAK

Anti-Rope and Anti-Rope Cannons behave almost the exact same as their regular variants. With a rope spool, you’re able to unravel it to make traversal easier or help a friend reach your location. The cannon, on the other hand, can grapple to a spot you aim and shoot at, releasing a long rope that helps you and nearby teammates climb it.

However, Anti-Rope unravels upward rather than down. In other words, if you have some tricky terrain to navigate and need a little extra help reaching a spot, you can use Anti-Rope or a cannon to make a direct path upward, saving you stamina that you can expend to finish a climb if the rope isn’t long enough.
