You’ll want to research Augments in Black Ops 6 Zombies to give yourself a bit of a buff when you use Perks, Ammo Mods, and Field Upgrades.
If you want to get into the later rounds of Black Ops 6 Zombies, you’ll need to research some Augments. These add additional skills and abilities to your Perks, Ammo Mods, and Field Upgrades. They can truly make the difference when you’re surrounded by a horde of the undead.

It isn’t really explained well how to research them and how they work in the game, though. That is where we can help you. Let’s go over how you can start unlocking more Augments through research in Black Ops 6 Zombies.
How to begin research for Augments in Black Ops 6
The steps are fairly simple once you boot up your copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Just follow along and you’ll be researching Augments in no time:
That begins your Augment research in Black Ops 6 Zombies. There are some important details to take note of, however. you may only research Augments for one thing at a time. Not one from each category, but just one from the collective of Perk-a-Colas, Ammo Mods,and Field Upgrades.
You also have to wait until you are level 11 to begin your research. And after that, it requires XPto move through the various Augmentsof your chosen item. A lot of XP. So, slap on a double XP token if you have it to make the grueling process a bit quicker.

How to equip Augments in Black Ops 6 Zombies
After you have sufficient Augments researched in Black Ops 6 Zombies, you can equip them. Follow the same steps from above, but when you hit step four, go to Equip Augments instead. This is where you’ll see all of the items and the Augments you have available.
Let’s use the Aether Shroud Field Upgrade for our example. Head over and open it up. You can choose one Major Augment and one Minor Augment. Just click on one of each and whenever you use Aether Shroudin a game of Zombies, those effects will take place.
You can have active Augments on everything if you’ve researched enough of them. That means Augments can activate the special abilities for all Perk-a-Colas, all Ammo Mods, and all Field Upgrades if you have put the time into unlocking at least one Major and Minor for each.
