Kiriko’s first-ever mythic skin will arrive in Overwatch 2 Season 3. Here’s how to get it.
Overwatch 2 Season 3 will kick off on Feb. 7 and arrive alongside a new mythic Kiriko skin. Read on for how to obtain the Amaterasu Kiriko skin in Overwatch 2.
Overwatch 2 Season 3 mythic skin
This is the support hero’s first mythic skin in the game. To unlock the mythic Amaterasu Kiriko skin, a player will need the premium version of the Overwatch 2 Season 3 Battle Pass. Amaterasu Kiriko will likely be unlocked at tier 80 — similar to Season 2’s mythic Junker Queen Zeus skin. Previous seasonal passes were also 1,000 Overwatch coins or $9.99 USD.
Overon Twitter, Blizzard revealed the Kiriko Amaterasu mythic skin in a video alongside theSeason 3 release date. Kiriko can be seen doing hand signs before changing in her appearance. At first, she dons the color purple before shifting to some golden attire. Next, Kiriko opens her eyes and wears a white outfit with blue accents.
“Meet Amaterasu Kiriko,” the official Overwatch 2 Twitter account posted. “An all-new Mythic skin arrives in Season 3, beginning Feb 7.”

Kiriko mythic skin
The Kiriko Amaterasu mythic skin in Overwatch 2 is inspired by Japanese mythology, with Amaterasu being the sun goddess. This can also mean that the theme of Overwatch 2 Season 3 will be centered around Japanese mythology.
In the inaugural season of Overwatch 2, the mythic Cyber Demon Genji skin was connected to the overall cyberpunk theme. Throughout Season 2, the mythic Junker Queen Zeus skin highlighted Greek mythology. Additionally, the second season had events and other new skins centered around this theme.
