Tekken 8 Twitch Rivals is going down on February 16. Here’s the competing players, standings, prize pool and schedule.

The $25,000 Tekken 8 Twitch Rivals Juggle Gym tournament is a chance to see old schoolers go head-to-head with some fresh blood. It will be a 1-day event happening on February 16 live on Twitch, with sixteen North American players invited to participate.

As is customary with Twitch Rivals, all sixteen players will also stream their POV throughout the event, so you’re able to get their reactions and commentary first-hand.

Format and Broadcast

The format for Tekken 8 Twitch Rivals is a 16-player double elimination event with an upper and lower-bracket. The seeding for the tournament was decided randomly, which has led to some interesting match-ups.

Ruleset

The event is being streamed on the Twitch Rivalsstream(above) with Velly, PochSpice and Anakin as the Host and Casters. However, as mentioned earlier, you can choose to watch the individual player perspectives on their own streams if you wish.

Invited Players

There were a total of 16 invited players from NA for Tekken 8 Twitch Rivals, including giants of the scene such as the FGC Justin Wong and SonicFox.

Prize Pool and Standings for Tekken 8 Twitch Rivals

The Prize Pool for the event is $25,000, with $5,000 going to first place. Regardless of final placement, all players will receive at least $375.

The eventual winner of the tournament was King player Andrew “Jesandy” Hernandez, who took home $5,000, his biggest win to date of his career.
