The Twitch streamer posted a response to the New York City riot that happened on Aug. 4.
Popular Twitch streamer Kai Cenat has posted a video about his experience with his recent PlayStation 5 giveaway that happened in New York City. The event resulted in a gathering of about 2,000 people and led to an intervention by the New York City Police Department (NYPD).

Kai Cenat talks about New York City giveaway
In a video, Kai Cenat talked to his Twitch chat about the reasoning behind his giveaway event. He expressed that it’s his dream to give back to the New York community that built him up. Kai Cenat also emphasized the sentiment of wanting to do good things for his community.
“It has been my dream to wanna give back to the community that made me who I am, bro,” he said. “It has been my dream to wanna give back to the community that made me who I am, bro,” he said. “That’s always been my whole like, y’know, I feel like everybody can — whoever is in a big position could agree that wherever you come from, you want to give back to your community and you want to do nice things. You feel what I’m saying?”

Kai Cenat then recalled what happened on Aug. 4 when New York’s Union Square turned into a chaotic situation. He said he gained a deeper understanding of his power and influence.
“I am beyond disappointed. Beyond disappointed in anybody who became destructive that day, bro,” Kai Cenat added. “100%, bro. That’s not cool.”

The Twitch streamer noted that the riot was not his intention. “I don’t condone any of the things that went on that day. None of that is cool,” he said, emphasizing his incredulity about people standing on cars. Kai Cenat then talked about wanting events to be cool and fun without any destruction.
Kai Cenat promised himself that for similar events in the future, he will contact the right people and make the right calls. He further stressed that the chaotic crowd was not his intention before adding that he loves New York and wants to verify that everyone can be safe and have fun at the same time.

The video also included a request to the media to not involve his family.
As for his Twitch streams, Kai Cenat said he may be busy for a while due to court dates such as one on Aug. 16. He told his viewers that they may not see him for a short period of time, but he will return soon.
