Grock, is this true?

The Grock revamp shakes up the competition with improved crowd control (CC) mechanics in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB). The Fortress Titan now offers a lot of options to lock down enemies. On top of that, he has a much more consistent item build, letting you build a full tank without losing any damage potential. The scaling Physical Defense also helps you counter a lot of high-burst Physical Damage assassins in the game.

With that said, Grock still requires a good combo to perform. This is why you need to understand how his kit works if you want to be a reliable frontline for your team. This tank also focuses too much on Physical Defence, so you need to consider when it’s time to build Magic Defense.

With that said, here is a guide on the Grock revamp in MLBB, including the tank hero’s best items, skills, emblem, combos, and counters.

Skill analysis for Grock revamp in MLBB

Passive: Bastion of Stone

Grock gains a Shield based on his Max HP and empowers his next Basic Attack to deal bonus Physical Damage relative to the target’s Max HP, with reduced effect against non-hero units. This effect has a cooldown that shortens as he levels up, and it refreshes much faster when he is near terrain.

While the Shield is active, Grock becomes immune to control effects when casting skills and also gains extra Physical Defense.

Skill 1: Mighty Swing

Grock strikes forward with immense force, dealing Physical Damage to enemies in his path. If enemies are knocked into an obstacle, they are launched into the air and take additional damage based on their Max HP, with reduced effect against non-hero units. If no obstacles are nearby, enemies are only knocked back slightly.

Skill 2: Earthen Rampart

After a short delay, Grock summons a stone wall in the target area, dealing Physical Damage and knocking enemies toward him.

Use Again:The wall can be removed early.

Ultimate: Tectonic Charge

Grock charges forward, dealing Physical Damage to enemies in his path. If he collides with terrain, the charge ends in a powerful explosion that knocks nearby enemies into the air and deals massive damage. If no terrain is hit, part of the cooldown is refunded.

Easy combo tips to learn

Grock is quite powerful in the early game. Take advantage of this and pressure your enemies to make mistakes. Once you have Skill 2: Earthen Rampart, place a wall behind enemies and force them to use dash abilities or Flicker Battle Spell.

Keep in mind that your Ultimate can only knock up enemies if you may hit a terrain. If you must, use your Skill 2: Earthen Rampart as a wall. Once you send your enemies flying, follow it up with Skill 1: Mighty Swing towards the wall for another knockback effect.

Another use for your Skill 2: Earthen Rampart is to check a bush. Use this skill on a bush to push enemies that are hiding. You can also block minions from pushing lanes with the wall. This also works on major objectives and jungle creeps to delay your enemy’s advances.
