Once you’ve started building up a selection of strong Pokémon in Pokémon GO, what better way to test their capabilities than the Pokémon GO Battle League?

This PVP arena allows players to take on other players using their best and most pumped-up Pokémon. There are three different Leagues to take part in, each of which is suited for Pokémon of a certain strength:

Pokémon GO Battle League

It’s always a good idea to figure out which Pokémon are suited to which GO Battle League, enabling you to build the strongest possible teams. That’s where tier lists come in. There’s a tier list for each of the three Leagues.

Pokémon GO Great League tier list

Best suited for those just starting on the Trainer journey, the Great League only allows Pokémon below 1,500 CP. Here are the Pokémon you should attempt to bring to any battle in the Great League:

C Tier

Pokémon GO Ultra League tier list

Once you’ve mastered the Great League and have a better understanding of what to expect from the GO Battle League in general, you can step up your game and enter the Ultra League. These battles are designed for Pokémon with a maximum CP of 2,500.

Considered the league for experienced players with strong Pokémon, the Master League does not cap the amount of CP entered Pokémon can have. This is great when you consider that some Pokémon, such asBlack and White Kyuremand otherLegendary Pokémon, can easily have close to or even more than 5,000 CP.
