Pokemon GOplayers are busy preparing to take advantage ofall of the Ultra Bonus rewardsthat are arriving between now and the end of the month, but there is also a new game update that has been overshadowed by the Ultra Bonus news. The update doesn’t add any significant new features, but does make some great quality of life changes.
Update 0.119.1 has begun rolling out and has a few very interesting points in the patch notes that have trainers excited for a variety of reasons. First off, and most importantly for somePokemon GOplayers, is the ability to swipe to dismiss in-game notifications. This is a major improvement for players who are sick of seeing everyGift and Friend updatetake over the top of their screens.

In addition to that quality of life improvement, the patch also explains that players will now be able to share an EX Invite with one friend. This seems to suggest that EX Raids are not going away, as some players have been predicting, but that Niantic is still reworking the system.
Here’s a look at the full patch notes…
The admission thatEX Raidsaren’t going away may feel like big news to some players, but the prospect of sharing EX Invites is an interesting change that may shake things up. The pessimists (or perhaps realists) will likely say that these Invites will probably just be shared with alts and end up being used by the same actual person on two or more different accounts. Hopefully that doesn’t end up being the case and EX Raids do get some new faces.
Check back for more news and updates in the coming days, as the update finishes rolling out to all players. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
