In the aftermath of the popular game releases ofQuantum BreakandAlan Wake, the developers at Remedy Entertainment announce a new project for the year 2019. This upcoming multiplayer/single-player project has been given the unofficial title ofProject P7.

Remedy Entertainmenthas been producing highly ambitious projects such as the aforementionedAlan WakeandQuantum Breakand yet their number of developments continue to rise. Despite the rate of their releases, however, the hope is that this new project will meet or exceed the quality present in the developer’s past projects.

The news of the upcoming project was reported within the company’slatest financial statement, which also indicated thatProject P7would be published by 505 Games. This revelation comes as no surprise following the announcement that 505 Games had paid 7.75 million euros for the rights to publish Remedy’s next game.

Also within the report was a statement that reveals the project has transitioned “from the pre-production phase to the production phase.” Thus far development is going ‘according to [the company’s] plans’ and hence the game is likely to be released without any major delays.

Alongside the production ofProject P7is the developmentCross Fire 2for Smilegate Entertainment Ltd.Cross Fire 2is stated within the report as including one of the most extensive campaigns that is currently under development. This may indicate that the Project P7 could be focusing more upon multiplayer gameplay, however this is yet to be confirmed.

Despite the divided attention of the developer,Project P7could be another impressive game added to the Remedy Entertainment’s collection. Ultimately, the originality of the haunting adventures inAlan Wakeand the cinematic action displayed inQuantum Breakhave the potential to combine into something unique, assuming Remedy is following a similar path.

Project P7is estimated to be released in the year 2019 on Play Station 4 and Xbox One.
