Earlier today,Mortal KombatcreatorEd Boon tweetedan image of the officialMortal Kombat 11box art. It’s Scorpion illuminated against a radiant gold backdrop. It looks pretty cheery for a game about brutalizing and dismembering!
Scorpion is no stranger to the spotlight. He was the sole recipient ofMortal Kombat X‘s cover, and he shared the 2011Mortal Kombatcover with Sub-Zero. He also squared off opposite Batman on the cover of 2008’sMortal Kombat vs. DC Universe.
For the past decade, Scorpion has been the golden child ofMortal Kombat, at least as far as box art is concerned. That’s not changing for the series’ eleventh game. It’s only getting highlighted — highlighted in bright, bright yellow.
