WWE 2K25is available for both PC and consoles, and Visual Concepts has also included old-gen users for this year’s title.

If you have only one platform, the purchase options become simpler, as you will buy for that system. If you’re like me and own both PC and consoles, you’ll have to make a hard decision about where to purchase. While the version for PC is similar to the one available on Xbox Series X|S and PS5, there’s a stark difference.

WWE 2K25 PC features

PC has a mix of current-gen and old-gen features. There are different game modes, includingShowcaseandMyFaction. The latter is WWE’s take on the popular Ultimate Team mode from the FC series, as you use different rarity items of your favorite superstars.

While the features on PCs are comparable to those on consoles, there’s one major difference you should note. Additionally, the graphics are far better on PC compared to the old-gen consoles.

WWE 2K25 console features

By console, I am listing the features available on the current-gen version of the game. You get a true current-gen experience, and there’s something extra:The Island. This is equivalent to The City inNBA 2K25‘s MyCareer.

The Island lets you explore different locations, complete fun quests, and make your character the big thing in wrestling. Plenty of live events and challenges exist to complete and win fun rewards, including VC (premium currency in the game). The Island might or might not be according to your tastes, but there’s no denying the fact that the mode is a fresh entry to the series.

Which one should you get?

Assuming you can choose between a console and a PC, I will go with the former. The reason is simple: there’s an extra game mode that will allow you to enjoy the game for a longer time. However, there’s a small factor that works in favor of PC. Steam has regional pricing available on the game, which could apply to the country you’re located in. This will have a noticeable difference in the final amount that you’ll have to pay.

That said, the console version is still going to be my first preference. If you’re not interested in playing The Island mode and have a PC with good enough specifications, opt for the Steam version. While it’s important to remember that PC for this year at least will be having an old-gen version, there’s very minimal difference in gameplay. The only major differences are in terms of the available game modes.
