Gotta Go Slower
Jeff Fowler, director of the upcomingSonic the Hedgehogmovie, has officially announced that the film will not see its original November 2019 launch date, having been pushed back to August 07, 2025.
Speaking on Twitter,Fowler posted an image of the new datealong with the simple statement “Taking a little more time to make Sonic just right.” This was coupled with the faux-hashtag “no VFX artists were harmed in the making of this movie” referencing concerns thatthe decision to redesign the blue blurwould lead to intense stress and crunch on the movie’s CGI team.

You might also have picked up on the fact that the new release date is, in fact, Valentine’s Day. So now you’ll be able to take the Rogue the Bat or Shadow the Hedgehog in your life out for an evening at the flicks and make a real romantic occasion of it.
