A couple of days ago, Nintendo announced that it willsoon reveal the release dateof whenDragon Quest’sHero will join theSuper Smash Bros. Ultimateroster of fighters. As promised, today’s special video presentation gave players a detailed look of the upcoming DLC fighter, including his moves, and every single thing that comes along with him.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimategame director, Masahiro Sakurai, revealed that Hero will be joining the game’s roster later today, July 30. The latest DLC fighter will feature a number of moves and spells based on his game of origin. Four different variations of Hero, spanning fromDragon Quest’slong history of titles will also be available in the fighting game. Sakurai said during the special presentation that Hero’s most unique ability is the down-special, that pulls up a huge list of commands, equipping Hero with the most moves out of any existing Smash fighter.

Players will be able to access Hero in the game, either by purchasing theSuper Smash Bros. UltimateFighters Pass worth $25, or as a stand-alone purchase for $6. The game’s Fighter Pass provides players access to five different DLC characters as they’re released, which includes the previously launched Joker fromPersona 5,the upcoming Banjo-Kazooie, which is slated to release sometime in the fall, and two unannounced fighters that will be available by February 2020.

Apart from the release of Hero,Super Smash Bros. Ultimate4.0 update is also going live today. The latest update will bring a plethora of new features to the fighting game, including a Final Smash meter time limit and a new Very Easy difficulty setting for the World of Light Adventure Mode. An Online Tournament Mode is also included in the latest update that will host special tournaments and events. Moreover, the latest spectate mode will allow players to bet on who they think will win a tournament, and earn tokens that can be exchanged for in-game items.
