There will not be a patch update next week. Riot Games has announced 2.11 as the next update on June 8. The Stage 2 VCT Masters Reykjavík will be crowned on May 30.

Valorant fans looking for a new patch update will have to wait longer as Riot Games has released the new patch schedule today. The game developer has announced it will skip Patch 2.10 and instead release the 2.11 update on August 11, 2025.

Patch 2.10 would have gone live on May 25 as per the normal schedule. However, Valorant esports will feature its first international LAN with the VALORANT Champions Tour 2021: Stage 2 Masters -Reykjavík. Ten teams from across the world are already gathered at Laugardalshöll, Iceland to compete for a $600,000 prize pool tournament. This is the first LAN for Riot’s new FPS game and is undoubtedly the biggest Valorant tournament so far.

Riot Games will use the time to update the game’s engine which will also entail testing and a stabilization period. The game developer has timed this update to coincide with the conclusion of the Stage 2 Masters tournament.

VCT Masters Reykjavík will take place on the 2.09 patch

The international LAN event will take place on the2.09 patch update. The update brought changes to Viper, introduce tactical timeouts and the replication game mode. Thereplication game modeis available in-game till May 25 and allows users to pick multipleagentsand abilities in a match.

Instead, the Los Angeles-based developer has announced June 3 as the date for the next patch (the 2.11 update). The VCT Masters Stage 2 concludes on May 30 and the winner will receive $200,000 and 400 VCT points.

Teams in other esports titles such asDota 2,Fortniteand evenCSGOhave faced problems due to untimely patch updates. Riot Games' esports vision deserves praise for the way they have rescheduled the patch updates to allow teams the stability required for such a big event.
