Similar to how the Forced Evolutionary Virus (FEV) mutated humans into an unrecognizable foe, the Troglodyte Degeneration Contagion (TDC) spread throughout Pittsburgh to create feral, deformed humans known as Trogs. Not to be confused with Trogdor the dragon, Trogs are humans degenerated by the TDC which puts them somewhere in between feral ghouls and super mutants.
Trogs are an enemy that was first introduced inThe Pitt, aFallout 3DLC. They’re hairless, crawl on all fours, and share similar attack patterns with feral ghouls. The most disturbing part about a Trog is that they are capable of partial speech. Hearing their voice lines as a pack of them gallop around you can quickly turnFallout 76into a horror game. This guide will help you find Trogs so that you can lay them to rest, either for a weekly challenge or out of the kindness of your heart.

Where to find Trogs inFallout 76
Trogs are currently only found in either of thetwo Expeditions to The Pitt. “From Ashes to Fire” is an Expedition where you may find many Trogs throughout your journey in the Trench. This Expedition is best if you’d like to immediately hunt Trogs and respawn the area by leaving and rejoining the session.
The other Expedition to The Pitt known as “Union Dues” brings the Trogs directly to you. Towards the end of the Expedition, waves of Trogs will swarm players, saving you the trouble of hunting them down yourself. But unlike “From Ashes to Fire,” players will only be able to find Trogs during these waves.

Both of the Expeditions include a high number of Trogs. So even though there are only two sources of the enemy within Fallout 76, you shouldn’t have trouble knocking out your weekly 50-kill challenge with one to two runs of the Expeditions.
All Trog variants inFallout 76
Like many creatures inFallout 76, Trogs have various forms that make every encounter dangerous in their own way. Unlike most types of enemies, these variants aren’t simply higher-level versions with an increase of stats.
Every Trog is agile and rarely found alone. Consider using flamers or automatic weapons to answer their swarming tactics with a stream of fire and lead. Staying on the move is key to fightingmany of the foes inFallout 76.
